?

On account of the unfortunate death of 80-year-old Ben Martinez, on December 21, 2011, the Alzheimer?s Association, New Mexico Chapter is making an effort to remind New Mexico residents of its 24/7 Helpline and statewide care consultations.

According to the Esponola Vally-based Rio Grande Sun newspaper, Martinez had early-stage Alzheimer?s and passed away at the door of his locked home despite a house key that was beneath his nearby welcome mat.

The Alzheimer?s Association, New Mexico Chapter offers free statewide care consultations and trainings. They can always be reached 24/7 on their Helpline, 1800-272-3900.
